President Serzh Sargsyan received on Tuesday Baroness Caroline Cox, the deputy speaker of the British House of Lords.
The sides discussed different issues at the meeting, addressing also the Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) conflict.
According to a press release by the Presidential Office, Sargsyan highly praised the baroness’ humanitarian assistance to Armenia and Artsakh, and her efforts towards strengthening the Armenian-British ties.
The president said that the Armenian nation treats friends with special respect, always remembering and praising their work with special gratitude.
The discussion also focused on the current reforms in Armenia, the priority trends in the country’s development, the Armenia-EU cooperation etc.
Both the president and the baroness highlighted the importance of providing the world countries with full and impartial information on the Karabakh conflict.
