“Haykakan Zhamanak” Daily: Situation is Tense on Armenian-Azerbaijani Frontline
Armenia
The situation continues to remain tense on Armenian-Azerbaijani frontline, after the attack of Azerbaijani diversion groups at the Armenian support bases located near Chinar and Berdakan villages of Tavush region yesterday night. Yesterday afternoon the enemy unceasingly fired at the Armenian positions located near Movses village. Village residents spent the whole day either at home or in the cellars, behind sandbags. According to village mayor Lyudvig Aperyan everything is under control and the village residents are used to these kinds of shots, whereas the residents told that no matter how many times the ceasefire regime had been violated before they can’t get used to that. “We are in awe. They are firing right now. Can you hear that? People don’t come out of their houses. I have just gone out to see what’s going on and go back home,” said one of the village residents during an interview with the newspaper reporter and added, “The situation is tense anyway. We are afraid to go out.” Also, he told that firings on Azerbaijani side are unprecedented, however Armenian side counteracts much more “modestly.”
As of yesterday night, fortunately, there were no injured or victims.
