Let’s Put an End to Tragic Human Losses. Hillary Clinton

During the last 20 years, the relations between US and Azerbaijan have considerably strengthened, stated Hillary Clinton at a press conference in Baku.

She stated that three main issues were covered during the discussions with Azerbaijani President and MFA Minister, namely security, energetic and democratic issues, reports 1news.az.

Adverting to Karabakh conflict , the State Secretary expressed concern about the latest tensions on Armenian-Azerbaijani borderline, which resulted in human losses on either side.

“I have assured President Aliyev, that US will not spare any effort to reach an agreement on the basis of Helsinki final act. I asked the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan to undertake all the necessary measures to build peace and not to deepen the conflict. There is no military way to regulate this conflict,”-emphasized Clinton.

According to Clinton a meeting between Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and Azerbaijan is anticipated in the near future. Ways of Karabakh conflict regulation will be discussed at the meeting.

“It is high time this issue was solved. I have promised Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan that we will do our best to support regulation of this conflict and put an end to tragic human losses.”-said Clinton.
