Diplomatic Relations with Armenia Will be Set Only after Karabakh’s Annexation to Azerbaijan

Diplomatic relations with Armenia will be established only if the latter shows respect to peace and “after the removal of the troops from the occupied Azerbaijani territories”, stated Ahmed Davutoghlu, as reported by Hurriyet Daily News.
Speaking at Turkish Parliament, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmed Davutoghlu stated that the main goal of meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, Azerbaijan and Georgia in Trapizon, on June 8, is the establishment of peace in South Caucuses.
According to the Minister, Ankara seeks to improve relations with the neighbors.
“In spite of all the existing obstacles, it is possible to establish diplomatic relations with Armenia, after the latter removes its troops from the occupied Azerbaijani territory and shows respect to peace in South Caucuses,”- said Davutoghlu.
Responding to the Turkish deputies’ questions the Minister of Foreign Affairs denied tense relations of Turkey with its neighbors.
“Thus, close relations are established with Azerbaijan, Russia, Ukraine and Bulgaria at the highest level,” –he said.
