RA Armed Forces Control Situation on Contact Line: Ministry of Defense

Yesterday in the northeastern part of Armenian-Azerbaijani line of contact irregular nature shots aimed at the violation of ceasefire regime were recorded. In comparison with the previous days the frequency of the cease fire has however decreased. Armenia didn’t record any casualties.

The Ministry of Defense urges all the mass media representatives issuing news on the cease-fire violations, bombardment of Armenian residential areas to verify the truthfulness of the received information with the Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Defense of RA and avoid artificially exacerbating the situation by disseminating groundless rumors.

The Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia control the situation along the border of the contact line, strictly observe the safeguard of ceasefire and take to counter actions only in the case the opponent takes infiltrating attempts.

Frontier subdivisions of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia continue their combat duties by daily regime.
