Website on Commodity Issues: Citybugs.am Launch in Two Months

In the framework of BarCamp Yerevan 2012 the Director of X-Tech company Hovhannes Aghajanyan presented the mission of the Citybugs.am website.

“We often inform the Mayor and many other people about the issues by making posts on their Facebook walls but we don’t learn their further reaction to these posts. That is the reason why Citybugs.am was established, which enables the citizens to write about their commodity issues on the website.”

According to Aghajanyan, the goal of the website is to improve and make visible the reforms of urban development sector, provide regular feedback and transparency of the City Council of Yerevan and increase the awareness of citizens of commodity issues.

In order to actively participate in this mission, first it is necessary to register, leave contacts and post pictures about the problems. During a 30-day period the truthfulness of the information should be verified and the issue will be addressed to the relevant official. The latter will then respond to the one, who posted the issue or concern.

The website will be launched in two months.
