State of Emergency in Select Cities of Burma

The President of Burma Teyn Seyn signed a decree to declare state of emergency in Western Rakyahn state because of clashes between Buddhists and Muslims which resulted in death of 17 people, reports BBC.
Riots in the state began last week, when the journalists reported on a tragic incident. According to the media, Muslims raped and killed one of the local Buddhist residents.
According to President’s decree the curfew was announced in 4 cities of the above mentioned state.
