366 Armenian Lawyers Strike Today

Today 366 members of Armenia’s Chamber of Lawyers are launching a strike. They protest against the unlawfulness of the judiciary.

They are due to meet journalists at 2:00 p.m. at Armenia Marriott Hotel to voice the problem and find solutions. They will also present their demands to the double standards applied by the Armenian Court of Cassation. Afterwards the lawyers will make their statement public.

Reminder: Several members of the Chamber had earlier set up a committee tasked with probing into more flagrant violations in proceedings and proposing solutions to the Court of Cassation.
