After a performance in national cup competitions between June 9 and 10 the Armenian Athletic Federation has won the right to participate in the 2012 London Olympics due to athlete Arsen Sargsyan (scored 8 m and 20 cm). This was the 23rd Olympic ticket for Armenia.
The 27-year-old athlete from Vanadzor exceeded the Olympic ranking by 10 cm, which allowed him to become the 4th Armenian athlete in the upcoming games.
