In Order to Launder Money It Should First Be Dirty: Vardan Oskanian’s Response to NSS
Armenia
Today, on June 12, Vardan Oskanian responded to the statement released by the NSS, which reads:
Today the National Security Service released a statement, by which they are attempting to show that the criminal case filed against me, is not a political order.
I repeat. This is definitely a political order and in this regard I’d like to say the following – money laundering and Oskanian-Huntsman words cannot be in the same sentence.
In order to launder money the money should be dirty. In this case, the sources of money are known. The buyer is known and the money was transferred to Civilitas through a bank in a transparent manner. According to lawyers, in this transaction no tax obligation was created. And according to the contract, the transferred money was a gift and the recipient would be able to use the money at his convenience.
Only the pursuer of a political motive would dare to turn the good deed of a man into a political currency.
