Green Card Lottery Results aren’t Invalidated: U.S. Embassy Retracts

Yesterday Haykakan Zhamanak newspaper wrote that 998 Armenian citizens were selected for DV lottery to be granted U.S. permanent residency. However, as opposed to the joy of the winners the results were invalidated because of computer software issues.

Media Officer of U.S. Embassy in Armenia Taguhi Jaghukyan retracted this information to Lurer.com by mentioning that this was a misunderstanding and the information related to the green card lottery of the previous year.

Let us also add that Haykakan Zhamanak daily in its today’s issue noted that the purpose of the article was to remind of the invalid results of the previous year lottery.
