Hrayr Manukyan’s Clarification to Retraction of Konrad Adenauer
Armenia
Lurer.com posts Hrayr Manukyan’s clarifications regarding the demand of Konrad Adenauer Foundation to retract the accusations that came up on June 13 of the current year.
“First, I provided the photograph to Lurer.com with the permission of the photographer. Second, I was supposed to comment on the contents so that the Armenian representation of Konrad Adenauer Foundation would decide whether my words correspond to the contents of the event. But I didn’t make any comments on the contents of the event because no such question was asked me. The questions related to the Armenian-Azerbaijani frontline and I responded to those based on my personal judgments and information received from my contacts, which were outside the frames of the given event. Therefore, it is not clear for me what Konrad Adenauer had to retract. Does it relate to what I discussed with Azerbaijani counterparts? This is ridiculous. I am sure that the text sent to Lurer.com by the Armenian Representation of Konrad Adenauer has got no relation to the approaches and standpoints of the management of Konrad Adenauer Foundation.
In the meantime, I’d like to thank Konrad Adenauer for organizing such events, which besides giving us skills and knowledge, also enable us to interact with our counterparts for the region.”
Reminder: on June 12, 2012, Lurer.com posted an interview with Hrayr Manukyan, who had been participating in a seminar in Tbilisi on June 3-8. The seminar was organized by Konrad Adenauer Foundation.
