CC of RA Suspended Hearing Nikol Pashinyan’s Suit
Armenia
Today on June 15, the Constitutional Court of Armenia suspended the hearing of the law suit of Nikol Pashinyan, a member of the Armenian National Congress, reasoning it with the necessity to conduct certain examinations and to attain additional materials from authorized state bodies.
The decision of the CC Chair Gagik Harutyunyan reads that they had applied to the Prosecutor-General and the Central Electoral Commission to receive clarifications on a number of matters.
At present, it’s not known when the hearing of the case will resume.
Reminder: Nikol Pashinyan had applied to the CC with a law suit to invalidate the majoritarian results of elections in district 7 of the May 6 parliamentary race.
In district 7, NA Samvel Alexanyan was elected single-mandate MP with 19,808 votes and according to official data, Pashinyan received 9,437 ballots.
