No Powerful Earthquake Expected in Armenia’s Territory: MES

The RA Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that the rumors circulated in Armenia about the expected powerful earthquake in Armenia are not truthful. We request citizens to be calm and not pay attention to untruthful panicking rumors.

According to an official of the MES Hrachya Petrosyan in the best seismological centers of the world, including the Armenian service, conduct surveys to forecast the possibility of powerful earthquakes but as an abstruse scientific issue, this task is not always properly completed. This means that in no place of the world it is possible to make short-term forecasts of powerful earthquakes (time, location, magnitude and other data).
