Armenia
“We should rely on the presumption of innocence,” this was stated by an RPA MP Gagik Minasyan during a meeting with journalists today when adverting to the legal charges against former Foreign Affairs Minister Vardan Oskanian.
“In this regard, it is not clear for me that representatives of various parties are trying to label this case and slander. The problem has legal grounds and as long as there are no solutions on this ground the attempt to link it to political motivations would create lots of questions,” mentioned Minasyan.
He claims that the international reaction is so immense to this case that it would be illogical to assume that this case will be resolved without proper legal proceedings. According to Minasyan, there is no ground to claim that the issue as a political pretext.
To the observation that the criminal case was launched on the next day the Pap announced its decision not to join the coalition, Minasyan didn’t rule out that after the completion of legal proceedings these allegations may become true.
