Yerevan City Violated Law on Freedom of Information
Armenia
The law on Information Freedom was violated. While speaking to Lurer.com, the Chair of the Union of Consumers Armen Petrosyan stated this when asked to comment on the incident that occurred in Yerevan City supermarket days ago.
“The person has the right to observe. Even if he wasn’t a journalist and was a housewife, he could have easily made notes to compare the process later. This is just impolite and contradicts civilized shopping and services,” stated Petrosyan.
To our question as to what caused such a behavior of the employees Petrosyan replied that the latter have fear.
“Each employee is scared of the senior personnel,” mentioned Petrosyan and added that the customer is not only the one, who buys stuff but also someone, who has an intention to buy.
