I Feel Sincerely Sorry for the Unacceptable Incident: Ruben Hayrapetyan

National Assembly MP Ruben Hayrapetyan released a statement in regard of the brutal beating in Harsnakar restaurant, which reads,

"These days I have not responded to the inadmissible and unjustifiable incident that took place at Harsnakar Restaurant, which led to the beating of citizens of the Republic of Armenia, particularly officers and doctors of the Armenian Army. Unlike some media sources and individuals making comments on social networks, who, as always, rush to give evaluations, had already "disclosed" the crime before the law-enforcement authorities, ascribing the incident to me, saying that I had given the instruction. I haven't responded to all this so that my response wouldn't be viewed as a step aimed at guiding the law-enforcement authorities' actions.

Now that the police have already identified the main culprit and are implementing activities to identify all the participants of the incident and all the details, I officially declare that I will do everything possible to make sure that all the culprits, regardless of the fact that they are security officials, waiters or other service providers, be punished by law. I will do everything possible to make sure that such actions be open and transparent.

I ask the media outlets and journalists, regardless of their political views, and for some regardless of their political assignments, to be absolutely precise in their evaluations and the information that they provide and not speculate the situation that has been created. My activity is restricted to the RA National Assembly and the Football Federation of Armenia, and the management of the structures that I have established and that are now run by my family members is not part of my responsibility and it is inadmissible to ascribe anything that takes place within those structures to me. There are people who perform their duties and who, if are guilty and will be revealed by the police, will be brought to justice.

I sincerely feel sorry for the unacceptable incident that took place. I understand that this doesn't change the situation and the state of affairs. Let's hope the doctors' information about the victims' conditions will be positive."
