Request-Proposal to RPA-PAP Oligarchs

Heritage Party Administration Board representative Hovsep Khurshudyan posted the following request-proposal on his Facebook page.

“Azerbaijan has oil resources; Armenia has fresh water, the price of which is more expensive than that of oil in a number of countries. The number of population is growing abruptly worldwide creating enormous demand for water. Already in 2030, 50 per cent of the world’s population will be suffering from the deficit of fresh water. Moreover, the fresh water will be most expensive in the regions surrounding us: Middle East, Persian Gulf states, Central Asia, Azerbaijan. It is known that the wars of 21st century will be waged because of fresh water. Azerbaijan doesn’t sell oil to Armenia even at the highest price considering us their archenemy however Armenia presents millions of cubic meters of fresh water to Azerbaijan. The reason is that oligarchs occupying Armenia possess houses and hotels on the shore of Sevan and Armenia doesn’t come to store the gold of the 21st century in that natural storage for the future generations. And as soon as the level of water in Sevan reaches their summer houses, their government announces that this year is arid and water must urgently be skipped from Sevan to Azerbaijan.

I, as an ordinary representative of people defeated by oligarchs, have a suggestion. It means nothing that you beat the people. How are you going to satisfy your greediness without people? So, please be so kind to listen to us at times and take steps in favor of the people of course without touching your pockets. So listen. I suggest being more honest and instead of discussing your legislative initiative on skipping water from Sevan in NA, discuss the issue of the compensation of your property located on the shore of Sevan. It is clear that you won’t agree to market price given that it will bring income to you and your oligarch children for like 1000 years. The people will not be able to compensate for 1000 years, but I guess we are ready for compensation of your incomes for like 100 years. How much money is required then? Milliard dollars? Two milliard dollars? Never mind. You have squeezed more than ten times from Armenia. Armenia will stand this too. But at least we should know that future generations will benefit from that. I speak about dozens of milliard of cubic meters of fresh water, which we can save in case we satisfy your greediness.

If you agree with my suggestion, I promise to beg, to persuade all my friends both political and non political, in NA and outside NA, to give their agreement to this compensation, so as at least one of your decisions could be legitimate.”
