Eurasian Union is a Threat for Georgia and Ukraine: Grigol Vashadze
Georgia
The Georgian Foreign Affairs Minister Grigol Vashadze stated that Georgia and Ukraine have one common threat and that is Russia’s intention to establish the Eurasian Union, which is a similar model to Soviet Union.
“When Russia announced about its intention to establish the Eurasian Union it was clear for everyone that they are referring to a similar model to Soviet Union and more specifically the political and military aspects of it, which caused the collapse of the Soviet Union. Therefore, for Georgia it is extremely to have powerful and stable partner like Ukraine,” mentioned Vashadze during his interview to Ukrainian “Зеркало недели” newspaper.
The Georgian Minister also mentioned that both Georgia and Ukraine face a common threat, which endangers the sovereignty and independence of the two states, meaning the Eurasian Union.
