Ruben Hayrapetyan's Mandate to Be Questioned: Artur Sakunts

The police doesn’t well understand the concept of universal, complete and integral investigation and that as a result of the incident human life is at stake. The incident occurred in a restaurant, owned by the family of Hayrapetyan. Such an opinion was expressed to Lurer.com by the President of Helsinki Civic Assembly, Vanadzor Office Artur Sakunts, when he was asked to comment on the opinion of the high-rank police officer, who claimed that the Hayrapetyan personally doesn’t have any connection to the incident in Harsnakar.

According to Sakunts, Hayrapetyan should definitely be accountable for all the internal problems in his business.

“There is already a video that one of the criminals is escorting Hayrapetyan. So this is an undeniable fact. But a full legal answer should be given to this. I think that this business is already dangerous for people so I think they should legally evaluate if this business should exist or not,” he said.

Sakunts also noted that when the water becomes polluted a criminal case is launched for harming peple’s health. The similar logical should be applied for Harsnakar case. These businesses are physically dangerous for people.

“There should be a relevant evaluation by all means. I don’t understand the neutral attitude of political parties and their silence. For me the behavior of the RPA is somewhat clear as Hayrapetyan is a prominent member of the RPA and in this party everybody has the same mindset.”

Deputies like Ruben Hayrapetyan and Samvel Alexanyan are disgraceful even for a demeaned party. If RPA tolerates them, it is their issue. The rest of NA deputies who are silent now, used to make promised during their election campaigns and now they don’t do anything at all. They continue to work with someone who says “what do I have to do with this?”, that is to say he is completely insane and doesn’t know what’s going on in his business,” said Arthur Sakunts.

Alluding to future steps to be undertaken by “We Demand to Punish All the Guilty Ones of Harsnakar Restaurant” Facebook initiative, he stated that public demand has essential role to play. The experience of the last few years came to prove that unless civic demands are not clearly formulated nothing is done.

“The Chairman of the party Serzh Sargsyan and the head of faction are responsible for all these incidents too. Civic demands should be addressed to make them take necessary steps, or at least condemn these incidents. The question of Ruben Hayrapetyan’s mandate should be included on the agenda. A legal assessment is necessary. The mentality of impunity existed form the very beginning. I now urge all the citizens who had issues in “Harsnaqar” or other businesses or with other services to voice their concerns if they had to keep silence at some time,” said Sakunts.
