Government Program was Matter of Principle. Everybody was Called in from Snack Bars to Vote: Aram Abrahamyan

The authors of the 5-year government plan didn’t make great efforts to develop it because otherwise it would be more thorough, specific and accurate in terms of weaknesses. This is an interim document, which was justly slammed in the National Assembly.

Today, the editor in chief of Aravot daily Aram Abrahamyan expressed such an opinion during a meeting with journalists.

“As we are talking about the same government and Prime Minister, who weren’t too splendid in their previous tenure, it’s natural that during the development of the new program they’d wonder why the previous program wasn’t implemented. It’s not just enough to put the blame only on the global crisis,” said Abrahamyan and ensured that there will always be problems to tackle.

He finds the proportion of parliamentary forces positive and thinks that the ruling party will always have a hard time to aopt bills.

“During the adoption of the government problem it was a big issue to bring everyone in to the NA from snack bars and restaurants to vote. But they can’t do this all the time,” he said.

When speaking of the upcoming presidential elections Abrahamyan thinks that the nominees will be Paruyr Hayrikyan, Aram Karapetyan, Vardan Oskanyan from the team of the second President and from ANC maybe not Ter-Petrosyan and Hrant Bagratyan instead.
