Tigran Sargsyan Received Australian Prime Minister's Special Envoy

Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Sargsyan received Russell Trood, Australia's Prime Minister's Special Envoy to Eastern Europe, the Balkans and the Caucasus.
“Armenia is interested in boosting and deepening of Armenian-Australian relations,” said Tigran Sargsyan, attaching importance to mutual support in bilateral and multilateral formats and highlighted discussion of the issues of mutual interest.
Russel Trood presented to Tigran Sargsyan the request of the Australian government to endorse Australia’s candidacy in 2013-2014 UN Security Council.
Tigran Sargsyan promised to discuss the issue and present Armenia’s position before the voting.
The two officials highlighted the mutual support in different international organizations, as well as strengthening of economic ties between the two countries and implementation of practical steps in that direction.
