50 MPs Left Japan’s Ruling Party

50 MPs left the Democratic party of Japan (38-parlament’s lower chamber, 12-upper chamber),Agence France-Presse has announced today. Despite all this, there are Majoritarian 251 seats left out of 480 in the Lower Chamber of Prime minister Yoshihiko Noda’s party and 92 out of 242 in the Upper .
“At the beginning 52 MPs wanted to leave the party but the 2 changed their minds,” DPJ former leader Ichiro Ozawa’s ally Kanzy Yamaoka told. Ozawa is also ranked among the MPs that have left the party.
The leaders of the DPJ plan to discuss the situation on July 2. As the Reuters mentions, Ozawa’s leaving promotes their party’s cooperation with Liberal-Democratic and “Komayto” parties of Japan. Noda has warned that “He will deal with the issue” of the MPs of DPJ, who had voted against increased taxes, according to the rules of the party. In order to promote the Japanese treat the new policy kindly Noda has decided to cut his salary for 30 %. Japanese economy has suffered serious losses after the earthquake of 2011 and in order to stand the crisis Noda suggests to increase the taxes.
