Ruben Hayrapetyan Puts down his Deputy Mandate
Political
NA MP, AFF president Ruben Hayapetyan announced that he is putting down the parliamentary mandate. Below is the announcement:
“I’d give everything to be present there in that ill-fated evening to stop the rising fists on the young people, to stop the misfortune that snatched lives , destroyed families and orphaned children. I’d give everything to turn everything back. But I’m not able. Vahe no longer lives. And I have to bear that. And I have to look into the eyes of the members of his family. I don’t know how to do that.
It’s said that everything is going to be according to the law; I’m sure it will be. 100 guilties, 100 punishments. But it’s not all about law.
The issue is much more complicated and I understand it very well. At the moment many people accuse me even of things that have no connection with me or are fake: I guess they have the right. But my very first prosecutor is me.
I had to prevent such a misfortune and wasn’t able to do that. Such an event shouldn’t have surrounded me and my family. I don’t forgive myself and I don’t know how I shall request a forgiveness.
At the moment I announce that I feel a moral obligation and I'm putting down my NA parliamentary mandate. I request forgiveness from all my voters that I won’t be able to accomplish their expectations, but I’m sure that I’m just obliged to go for this step. I want to believe that Avan population will understand me correctly. I hope that one day I’ll be able to receive forgiveness from Vahe’s family as well; anyway I’ll do my best.
I mourn together with all his relatives.”
To remind you, on June 17 , at 11 pm security workers of Harsnaqar restaurant complex belonging to NA MP Ruben Hayrapetyan’s family have beaten the head of the RA MD Yerevan garrison hospital’s ENT department Major Vahe Avetyan, who was moved to Muratsan military hospital.
