Chlorine Leak Poisons 70 People in Tbilisi

At about 3-4 am in a suburban Lilo village nearby Tbilisi 70 people were poisoned as a result of chlorine leak. Mainly suffered people who live nearby. One of the poisoned has asthma and is in a critical condition. Children and a pregnant woman were also hospitalized.
The chlorine leaked from a 800litres tank that belonged to a water utility company.
The President of Georgia Mikhail Sahakashvili and Minister of Health Zurab Tchiaberashvili visited the patients.
The head of municipal department of emergency situations Temur Giorgadze announced that the consequences of the accident are totally eliminated.
It was informed from the Administration of Isani-Samgori that people’s health and life are no longer in danger.
