Levon Zurabyan, the head of ANC deputy party referring to the question of convening a special session at NA and not holding it, said:
“No matter which party would agree or disagree to join the initiative, yesterday we decided that anyway we must take that step in order to show the authorities that we are willing to go for drastic actions. However, the authorities withdrew yesterday, and taking into account the fact that a process is going on, taking into account the fact that maybe due to that process it will be possible gather 44 or more signatures, at the moment we refrain from the initiative, and if we initiate it , we must be able to gather that voices in 24 hours. For now considering the fact that this movement is recording success, we have decided to refrain from the decision of formal initiative of a special session, but we informally continue initiating it, we continue the negotiations with the parties in order to achieve it.”
In response to the question whether the opinions are for or against in the result of the negotiations with the parties Levon Zurabyan said that as long as the negotiations are in process it’s not correct to state whether they are for or against.“ We are still negotiating. We hope that maybe we’ll be able to achieve a positive result”, Zurabyan stated.
