Vardan Oskanyan Speaks about Ruben Hayrapetyan’s Putting Down the Mandate
Political
Former Minister of Foreign Affairs, PAP member Vardan Oskanian today in the interview with reporters didn't wish to comment on Ruben Hayrapetyan’s yesterday’s announcement according to which he puts down his deputy mandate.
"It was his decision. I am sure that whatever was decided in his mind is the best for him. So, I do not want to comment further.
In response to the question whether in future the society will act as a bar against such phenomena PAP member said: “You know, we should act no tolerance against such phenomena. This is just unacceptable. The society truly must not express any tolerance against such phenomena. Not only the society, finally the authorities themselves should pay a greater attention and serve as an example. There are several viewpoints according to which authorities are the mirror of the public; no it is not so, I think that people are the mirror of the authorities. Whatever you do from the above, whatever example you serve as, whatever you speak about, let us not put the responsibility of this all on the public. All that are truly the authorities. The real guilties are those people who aren't able to disroot these phenomena from our society by leading a right policy and by serving a right example.”
