Because of health problems Rafael Nadal won’t play with Novak Djokovic- the official website of "Real" informs.
The game was to take place on July 14 at Madrid’s “Santiago Bernabeu” stadium.
It was expected that world’s two greatest tennis players’ game would gather in “Real”’s stadium with about 80000 audience. All proceeds from the game would be transmitted to Nadal and the "REAL" charity fund.
“The medical examination showed that I have a knee ligament injury. The doctors say that I need 15 days for recovering, that's why I won’t be able to play with Djokovic on July 14. I’ve started my treatment on Monday so to be able to recover and defend the honor of Spain on the Olympic Games.
I ask for forgiveness from the fans who have bought tickets, from Djokovic who agreed to participate in that game and from “Real”’s charity fund that did their best to organize the game,” said Nadal.
Nadal also noted that he’ll try to fix a new date for the game.
