Let’s Confess that We Have Problems: Serzh Sargsyan

Serzh Sargsyan congratulated his compatriots on Constitution Day,
“Dear compatriots,
I congratulate You on Constitution Day.
July 5 is one of the most important holidays in our new state, by means of which we express our devotion to the values and ideals enshrined in the Basic Law of RA.
The important mission of our Constitution is to provide social solidarity, which can’t be achieved without the dominance of law and unconditional respect towards constitutional laws. Here we should confess that we have some problems. It’s obvious that the democratic laws proclaimed by Constitution, including, all are equal in front of law, irrespective of any quality, and in everyday life should be explicitly introduced in society and in state on the basis of existing contradictions. ”
Only state in effective communication among state and civil society can become a truly democratic and build civil society, in which liberty and public order are totally balanced. We are all responsible for social solidarity, all the society levels and our duty is to work together to eliminate a day before the existing gap of declared values. On our way the reliable support is our Constitution, its letter and its soul.
Once again I congratulate all of us with a definite belief that our Constitution will still serve lots of generations of Armenian citizens, continuing to be the most authoritative document regulating state, social, political and social life”
