The informal biography of the president has been released in the States. The book contains Barack Obama’s relatives’ and friends’ memories. Working on his biography for more than 5 years, having 400s of interviews in Kenya, Indonesia and USA journalist David Maranise almost didn’t mention a word about his presidential activities. “This book is not about a political figure, it’s about young Barack. It is about how he grew up, who was engaged in his upbringing and so on,” the author announced.

David Maranise mentions: “In order to understand Obama it’s necessary to study his roots. As a child he was lost, he was born in a family of mixed race and grew up without father and almost without mother, who stayed to live in Indonesia and send his son to study in Hawaii , where his grandparents took up his upbringing. He has been cut from his family and everything in his life happened unexpectedly. A high school student Obama was more engaged in basketball than in studying, and besides he liked to smoke marijuana and never concealed, confessing that it was his mistake.

David Maranise describes in a very vivid manner that marijuana was not just a pleasant entertainment for him, but he literally smoke day and night and even lead marijuana-lovers’ gang.”

Now Obama’s political opponents are ready to accuse him of distorting his life facts. Maranise’s work is already being studied at Obama’s only opponent for the Chair of White House Mitt Romney’s PS .
