Earlier lurer.com informed that on the seventh day after military doctor Vahe Avetyan’s death a candle-lighting ceremony took place in front of Harsnaqar restaurant complex belonging to NA MP Ruben Hayrapetyan’s family. Before the arrival of the participants, Helsinki Assosiaction representative Arman Veziryan entered the yard of the restaurant trying to take photos of Ruben Hayrapetyan, but the latter beat him and he appeared on the ground.
The participants tried to enter the restaurant yard but the police didn’t let, prohibiting even journalists to enter.
The organizers of candle-lighting appeared with an announcement, in which they demanded an area to hold the candle-lighting ceremony and to deliver speeches. After announcing for a few times the police stayed self-contained, after which the protestants closed Acharyan Street by sitting in the middle of it.
The rows of the Police were supplemented by red barrets, and policemen armed with shields and batons. They moved them from the street by pushing and hitting the participants, but the participants of the protest action lay in the middle of the street. The Police ovestepping the citizens, by protracting the protestants moved them away from the road.
Later, the protestants moved to Ruben Hayrapetyan’s house.
Larisa Alaverdyan delivered speech in front of Ruben Hayrapetyan’s house. Addressing to the protestants Alaverdyan decalred that military doctor Vahe Avetyan’s death became a cause of new civil action, which after the movement of the 80s is going to awaken the second renaissance.
After Larisa Alaverdyan’s speech there was a “5-minute” silence in memory of Vahe Avetyan.
