Jaime García Marquez told students in Cartagena, that his older brother, told that his brother is suffering from senile dementia.
According to Jaime, Nobel Prize Winner of 1982 Gabo (Gabriel Garcia Marquez) often calls him on the telephone to ask “basic questions”.
"He has problems with his memory. Sometimes I cry because I feel like I'm losing him," he said.
Jaime Garcia Marquez is the only member of the 85 year-old writer, who publicly announced about his brother’s problem.

Gabo’s younger brother confessed that he couldn’t avoid rumours about his brother.
Gabriel Garcia Marquez currently lives in Mexico and rarely appears in public places recently.
According to Jaime, author of the novel “Love in the Time of Cholera” doesn’t write anymore.
In 2010 Marquez finished his novel “I'll See you in August”, but the date of publication isn’t known yet.
