Arman Veziryan has no Demand from Ruben Hayrapetyan

RA Police spread news on hitting Arman Veziryan by Ruben Hayrapetyan, on collide with the protestants and on legality of actions of Police. The announcement reads:
“On July 9, 2012 Mass Medias published news that on July 8 during the candle-lighting ceremony at Harsnaqar restaurant Ruben Hayrapetyan beat observer of Helsinki Association Arman Veziryan on Acharyan Street, Yerevan.
Based on this information investigation has processed in Police Investigation Department of Yerevan. For the purpose of giving explanation Arman Veziryan was invited to the Department, who announced that he’s not going to complain and he doesn’t have any demands from Ruben Hayrapetyan. At the same time Arman Veziryan refused to receive a forensic doctor ticket and to undergo forensic examination.”
Taking into account the fact that in publications of Mass Media the supposed actions can serve ground for a criminal case based on the complaint of the sufferer, Criminal Procedure Code of RA has made a decision on denial to commence a criminal case.
Besides that, on July 8, 2012 during candle-lighting in front of Harsnaqar restaurant the participants of the protest blocked traffic of Acharyan Street by sitting and lying on the road. The Police moved the people preventing traffic.
Announcements have been made on the mentioned above events, in which the action of the Police were evaluated as illegal including violence. Hence, in order to check the facts of those announcements and appreciation given to them, and also to find out the legality of the policemen present there, appropriate investigation will be held.
At the same time administrative proceeding has been instituted on case of July 8, 2012, in order to evaluate the behavior of other participants or their separate actions.”
