ANC is for Presenting a Common Candidate

ANC encourages that in the coming presidential elections the opposing political forces will present a common candidate. This was announced by ANC coordinator Levon Zurabyan in an interview with “Azatutyun” radio station.
Pointing that victory of democracy and getting rid of the “regime” is the most important for them, Zurabyan continued, “We need a candidate that can challenge with Serzh Sargsyan’s regime. It should be a person that, on the one hand has the biggest consolidation potential, uniting potential, that is a man who has such a power, which can be undeniable, that can unite the most political forces, and, on the other hand a man who is clean-fingered, won’t have any connection with the regime and will be determined till the end. Let the society judge who this person can be.”
On Tuesday in an interview with reporters ARF Supreme Body representative Armen Rustamyan said, that ARF finds possible the fact that in the presidential elections of the following year the opposing political forces present a common candidate.
And to the question whether discussions and negotiation will be held with opposing and non-coalition other political forces, he replied, “There hasn’t been any conversation on it, there is neither negotiation of this kind at the moment nor such negotiation is planned. But I don’t exclude that political developments can bring to such kind of negotiations.”
