First Same-Sex Buddhist Marriage in Taiwan

The first same-sex marriage is going to take place in Taiwan – reports Agence France-Presse.
The ceremony will be held with all Buddhist wedding traditions.
In 2003 authorities of Taiwan worked out a bill that permits to register such marriages, but the country President Ma Ying-jeou declared that for the confirmation of this bill it’s necessary to take into account not only same-sex minority but also public opinion.
