The Republicans have Something to Hide: Levon Zurabyan
Political
We decided that this isn’t going to be a partisan or political initiative; This must be everyone’s concern. That is why I had a meeting with Galust Sahakyan,- ANC MP Levon Zurabyan informed about this in the meeting with journalists after the protest, which took place in front of NA.
“ I told Galust Sahakyan, that in my opinion, if you consider that Ruben Hayrapetyan has no connection with this case, if you consider that the Republican party and the current president don’t conceal this tragedy and don’t support it, then it’s your benefit to run an open investigation under the parliamentary supervision and to give the public the answers to all the questions. If you don’t have anything to conceal then you must be interested in holding an extraordinary session. And I suggested, based on the interests of the Republican Party, to join this initiative. But the Republicans refuse to, from which I assume that they have something to hide. They do not want to run a transparent and public investigation under the supervision of the Parliament,” Zurabyan said.
Zurabyan also mentioned that there exists a Republican party statute, which prohibits the Republicans to demonstrate a different approach other than is decided within the party, therefore, Zurabyan considers it to be impossible that any of the Republicans will join the initiative.
