Mr. Zolyan’s Behavior was Wrong: Aram Simonyan
Society
Today in a meeting with journalists, YSU rector Aram Simonyan referred to YSLU former rector Suren Zolyan’s resignation. In response to the question whether that incident contained any political implicatons or not, the rector replied:
“There is no political implication in the Minister’s action. And Suren Zolyan made pretty serious violations. I’m sorry that everything end up this way.
Mr. Zolyan was my colleague with whom I have always been in a good relationship. But I think that his behavior was wrong, because the latter had to take into account the fact, that the head of state HEI is not only obliged to report to the authorities, but also obey their decisions. The Minister is our superior, if we want to have a strong country, then everyone, without exception, has to obey.
I can say only one thing: if such mistakes occurred in YSU, I, as a rector wouldn’t work anymore.”
