Serzh Sargsyan Accepted ADB Vice-President Xiaoyu Zhao

Today President Serzh Sargsyan accepted the vice-president of Asian Development Bank (ADB) Xiaoyu Zhao and his delegation.
The president highly estimated ADB activities as in Armenia as well as in entire Asian territory. Serzh Sargsyan expressed hope that ADB vice-president Xiaoyu Zhao’s visit will promote to the further development of furtive cooperation with Armenia- directed to providing a stable economic increase and infrastructure development in our country.
Xiaoyu Zhao assured Serzh Sargsyan that the bank will continue its business in Armenia with the same efforts and will remain loyal to its commitment. He mentioned that now joint works are implemented with Armenian government concerning the construction of North-South road passage, financed by international community. According to the qualifications of the interviewees the implementation of this project which is essential for Armenian economy, will remarkably promote the development of other spheres.
During the meeting, both sides stressed the importance of the implementation of bank-assisted investment projects in our country, in such perspective spheres, as IT tourism, agriculture, mining, chemical industry and other spheres, which are regarded as country’s economic priority by RA government and which will be included in strategic projects of RA and ADB approved cooperation.
