Vardavar Ended with Murder in Tavush

Today, July 23, a murder occurred in the Tavush region. As photo-journalist Gagik Shamshyan reports fro the region of Tavush, at 01.10, the Police Department of Berd received a call that an argument happened in the DJingle precinct of Nerqin Karmraghbyur village, where a citizen has been injured.
The operative group of Tavush Police regional department arrived at the scene, headed by the Chief of regional Police Arshavir Gevorgyan.
Several investigators of Criminal Investigation Division’s Tavush regional investigative department are at the scene, with the head of the investigative division, Karen hakobyan.
Operative-investigation group revealed that during Vardavar an argument occurred among a group of people at the mentioned place. Note that in some regions of Armenia Vardavar was celebrated yesterday, and not the previous Sunday.
During the argument a 27-year-old Berd resident Vrej Melikyan, hit with his knife, for 5-6 times, 52-year old Khachik Khachatryan- resident of Aygepar village, Tavush.
The participants of the arguement, seeing that Kh. Khachatryan’s condition is deteriorating, took him to the nurse, where he died.

Concerning the incident a criminal case has been proceeded in the in the Berd investigative deparment of Tavush regional investigative division of Police General investigative division, according to the charecteristics of 104th article (murder) of RA Criminal Code.
People at the scene told the photo-journalist, that police managed to disclose the murder just in 2 hours after the incident
