Looking into Her Eyes You Believed in Her Character: Boris Pepanyan
Society
Today was a mourning day in the State theatre after H.Paronyan. Friends, fellows, relatives and fans came to farewell Galya Novents. The attendants regretted the death of the dear friend.
"The art-loving society suffers a great sorrow, with her death the film and the theater had a great loss. The legend of Armenian film left us. We were together at her last play, I am proud that I have been her partner. Her play was stunningly beautiful. The people did not stop applauding so she could leave the stage… a crowded hall, flowers, bravos. We had decided to play together again in September, but ... when I heard the news I cried, shrieked, that Galya is gone: I fell into a heavy emotional state.
Boris Pepanyan: “Her eyes were full, when looking into her eyes, you believed in the character. She has not died, she’ll remain in our people. She’ll be substituted, but not completed.”
Levon Mutafyan: “She played completely different roles, different characters, different genres, and proved in different genres that she is multi-genre and manifold actress. She created the character of Armenian woman, taking the typical national character to incomparable perfection in cinematography.”
Azat Gasparyan: “ We lost one of the masters of Armenian film. Her kind was unique and incomparable. In life she was modest, sober, but was colorful on the screen.”
