Urgent Assistance through Ombudsman's Intervention

The single mother, disabled Karine Hakobyan (the first and last names are changed) lives in a hostel together with his son. In  Vanadzor regional department of Social Services Karine Hakobyan was refused to be given the family allowance - Karine Hakobyan informed in the letter addressed to the defender, when visited Lori regional office of the defender’s staff.
In response to the letter, Vanadzor regional department of social services, announced that the vulnerability assessment of Karine Hakobyan’s family is low and she can’t receive the family allowance. But taking into account the hard social conditions of Mrs. Hakobyan, the Ombudsman's intervention, Vanadsor regional department appointed an urgent assistance for the first, second and third quarters of 2012.
Karine Hakobyan has already visited Vanadzor regional office of social services and received the urgent assistance for the first and second quarters.
