Ashtarak City Mayor Resigned

This morning Ashtarak city mayor Gagik Tamazyan resigned.
He thanked workers of the City Hall for the joint work and asked to go on working with the same spirit until the elections of the next mayor. The fact of not nominating his candidacy for the next elections he explained by being tired.
Gagik Tamazyan was one of those exceptional mayors who’s been elected without violations and bribes. It’s worth mentioning that every time at local Government elections of Ashtarak the ARP candidate couldn’t gain confidence of Ashtarak citizens. And now not nominating the candidacy of Gagik Tamazyan is a green light for the ARP candidate.
Gagik Tamazyan is a non-party. During his leadership a range of domestic and city constructing problems found solution: the city was cleared of garbage, impassable streets have been laid with asphalt, the problem of city lighting was solved and the corruption risks of City Hall staff were increased to a minimum. These days Ashtarak musical school will reopen after repair.
Local Government elections will be held in September.
