Vahe Avetyan’s Father is Finally Recognized as the Successor of the Victim
Right
Yesterday, finally, R. Mkrtchyan, head of the investigative group- the investigative body, invited Vahe Avetyan’s father, Garnik Avetyan, in order to recognize him as the successor of the victim. It was preceded by the request submitted on behalf of their client, on July 11, by his lawyers Tigran Yegoryan and Lusine Hakobyan, with which they asked the investigative body to recognize G. Avetyan as the successor of the victim.
Instead of giving a quick solution to the issue, the head of the investigative team, R. Mkrtchyan and his superior contacted to the lawyers and demanded to submit a request by G. Avetyan, saying that the request submitted by the authorized representatives is not sufficient grounds. Meanwhile the lawyers protested, against the actions implemented by the investigative body, at the RA Prosecutor General Office, and so yesterday, the head of the investigative team invited G. Avetyan to finally recognize him as the successor of Vahe Avetyan, after definitely being aware of it for 2 weeks. Even after the invitation the father of the victim and the lawyers had to wait in front of the entrance of RA General Investigative Department, since the investigator did not respond to Garnik Avetyan’s or the lawyers’ calls..
And after that he wasn’t permitted to go up with the lawyers, and the lawyers were invited only after a 2-hour “explanatory work” was done , by the investigator, with the father of the victim, raising issues concerning the competitiveness of his lawyers and even persuading him to postpone the testifying, saying that he is not in an appropriate psychological state.
The lawyers were finally invited, since the client claimed, his representatives should be immediately involved, and he is ready to testify right away. Yesterday Garnik Avetyan testified late in the evening , with the attendance of his lawyers.
Note, that the actions of the investigative team of “Harsnaqar” case is attentively “controlled” by Vahagn Harutyunyan, who is the former head of the investigative team of notorious case March 1.
