His Holiness Aram A Catholicos continues to stay in touch with the spiritual responsibles of the Armenian community of Syria and follow their activities- The Information Service of the Great House of Cilicia Catholicosate informs.
Learning about the economic hardships of some of the families, His Holiness financed the National Diocese, for food and other essential needs.
He stressed the importance of the practical support to Armenian community in Syria.
“ The viable and organized protection of Middle East colonies is a priority, inferring from our nation's common and general interests. The Lebanese Armenians survived due to their collective will, faith and unity, during the terrible war in Lebanon. The Syrian Armenians have to do the same. It’s not the proper time to make emotional declarations. We need to support the Syrian Armenians, so they can overcome the difficulties,” said His Holiness.
Catholicosate press service also reports that Aram A ordered the bishoprics of the Cilicia Catholicosate to provide material support for the Syrian national colleges.
