Armenia’s PM Visits Avan Salt Plant CJSC

Armenian Premier Minister Tigran Sargsyan on Saturday visited the “Avan Salt Plant” CJSC to get familiar with the table-salt-producing Company’s investment plans toward improving salt production.
The Company’s plant is operating since 1969 and, now, it is time to modernize its production. Accordingly, Avan Salt Plant commenced cooperation with leading Swiss SEP Company, which is ordered to design a plan for a new plant, the Government press service informs.
Also, “Avan Salt Plant” Company began collaborating with the renowned underground-well-designing German “Deep” Company, which will design a plan for saltwater production and purification.
These projects will be carried out for 3-4 years, and the total investments will comprise close to 10 million euros. And this will become a guarantee for providing high-quality and competitive domestic salt for Armenia over the next approximately fifty years, and, also, to considerably increase the volume of export.
