Why haven’t the Lawyers been Appropriately Notified?

Today the “We demand to punish all the culprits of Harsnaqar incident” initiative organized a protest in front of the Police building, by which it demanded to dispose immediately all documents and materials of Harsnaqar case, with which they have the right to get acquainted by virtue of the Criminal Procedure Code.
At the protest lawyer Lusine Hakobyan particularly stated, “I can’t say yet in which process is the case, as until this moment we didn’t get acquainted with the materials of the case. The Police spread news, that they sent a letter to us on July 27, by which they invited to get acquainted with the case materials. The fact is, that the envelope was handed to the post by the investigator on July 30, at about 3 pm and we received the mail on August 1, at 5 pm. It’s amazing how we could go and get acquainted with the material at 5 pm. As for telephone calls to notify us, the same investigator Ruben Mkrtchyan on July 27 informed that the method of communicating by phone is unacceptable for him, and he’ll answer in written form on getting acquainted with the case materials. Today we received the writ of the investigator, by which yesterday at 5 pm we were invited to familiarize ourselves with the materials. We’ll try to get acquainted with the materials as soon as possible, but our demands have changed – we demand to dispose all the materials.”
Organizer and a participant speaker of the protest Zaruhi Hovhannisyan, turning to the demand of the protest, particularly stated, “We held this protest as we have data that the lawyer’s work is being interfered. The lawyers aren’t disposed with all materials that are needed for the work and we have come to remind that the case is in the center of public attention and we’ll pursue to reveal all the culprits.”
According to Zaruhi Hovhannisyan the reconsideration of the article is buffoonery, as it can’t be that 15 people severely beat one person and to qualify this as unwittingly murder.
To the question, why you refused to discuss the investigator’s invitation, Zaruhi said, “We refused to discuss as we sent letters for many times to the investigatory authority as a civil initiative and didn’t receive any answer, and secondly, lawyers work with investigatory authorities, we aren’t speaking on legal level, we just put the question on legal basis”, concluded the activist.
