The Police doesn’t Let the Protestants Approach Prosecutor General’s Office

The protest commenced in front of the Prosecutor General’s Office to immediately justify and set free Tigran Arakelyan, Artak Karapetyan, David Kiramijyan, Sargis Gevorgyan. According to the participants the verdict is illegal.
The Police doesn’t let the participants of the protest approach Prosecutor General’s Office, and suggests to hold the protest on the other pavement, where open air cafes are found.
One of the organizers of the initiative “Freedom to ANC activists” Areg Gevorgyan, which is the sentenced Sargis Gevorgyan’s brother, at the protest mentioned the verdict of July 20, by which four young people were sentenced to six years of imprisonment and presented the demands.
“We demand to justify the ANC four activists – Artak Karapetyan, David Kiramijyan, Tigran Arakelyan, Sargis Gevorgyan, set free Tigran Arakelyan, shorten ANC other activists’ – Vahagn Gevorgyan’s, Sahak Muradyan’s and Areg Gevorgyan’s criminal case, which is underway, punish the policemen which executed violence towards the lawyers, and subject to responsibility police officers which gave false testimony and officials that induced false testimony”, said Areg Gevorgyan.
ANC activist Gurgen Asatryan stated that they won’t calm down until the cases of ANC activists aren’t shortened.
“We periodically gather to express our discontent. Culprits of March 1 and Harsnaqar are still in freedom, and the four young people of ANC should be imprisoned illegally as political prisoners”, said activist Zara Hovhannisyan.
