Criminal Prosecution of 3 ANC Activists is Terminated

RA Special Investigation Service has made a decision to terminate the criminal prosecution of the young activists of the Armenian National Congress (ANC)- Areg Gevorgyan, Vahagn Gevorgyan Sahak Muradyan, based on the fact that “their participation in the crime is not proven,- “Fastinfo” agency reporter was informed about this by RA Special Investigation Service.
Note, that 7 ANC activists had been arrested because of the clash between them and the Police on Teryan street of Yerevan; a criminal case had been proceeded. The case of the 4 activists- Tigran Arakelyan, Artak Karapetyan, Sargis Gevorgyan and David Kiramijyan had been sent to the First Instance Court of Kentron and Nork-Marash districts; with the verdict made on July 20 by the presiding of Judge Gagik Poghosyan, they were sentenced to 2-6 years of imprisonment.
Areg Gevorgyan’s, Sahak Muradyan’s and Vahagn Gevorgyan’s case had been separated by another proceeding, the investigation of which was being continued at the Special Investigation Service.
