Latvian Farmer Blocked the Lithuania-Latvia Road
World
A Latvian farmer has banned the traffic on one of the interstate highways connecting Lithuania and Latvia. Lenta.ru writes making reference to "Interfax".
The point is that the Latvian authorities have recognized that the land through which a part of the highway passes, really belongs to the farmer (whose name is not mentioned). The latter, in his turn, taking the advantage of the opportunity given to him by the right of ownership, has banned the cars to drive through that part of the road, putting a respective road sign.
The blockade of the road has confused the Lithuanian side, which wasn’t warned that the road was to be blocked, and even capitally repaired the interstate road in the Lithuanian part a few months ago.
