London Metropolitan Set a Passenger-Transprotation Record

The company heading the “Transport for London” metropolitan, said that the metropolitan managed to set a new record for passenger-transportation on last Thursday, transporting 4.31 million people in a day.
The previous record was set by the company on August 1of this year. On that day 4.25 million people had used the subway, but that record was maintained for only one day. The company doesn’t exclude the possibility of setting new records until the end of the Olympic Games.
The increase of the passenger-transportation volume is due to the increase of the number of Olympic visitors and tourists. The number of the metropolitan passengers was 3.8 million in the same period of the last year.
Those who are engaged in lending bicycles and the “Dockland Light Railway” subway in London have also set records last week.
London metropolitan is considered to be the oldest and the most expensive subway in the world. The 150th anniversary of the subway will be in the January of 2013. Improvements have been implemented to the transportation system of London until the beginning of the Olympic Games, but it is impossible to completely eliminate all the flaws, which come to appear almost every day.
